    have an opportunity on one of these. i do find the look stunning but would like to know more about it on the musical/technical side.
    it's not very much discussed xcept as classic partner to STA 15 or 20 power amps. any link or info welcomed

    yeah, it's mentioned but that's about it...

    ok, got some info. preamp gets power from the power amp - like the quad II/22 combo. seemed to be a very british feature back then.
    so it won't work with my 8B which, on the contrary, needs a 7 or 7t to get switched on! talk about proprietary branding!
    this i easily solved by pluggin' it to a dedicated filtered switch-box ( pics to come on the 8b thread)
    too bad, i really liked sc2 industrial looks

    There is some information on the SC2 here:

    I thought I had a circuit diagram for the SC2, but it turned out to be for the SC22, a quite different preamp.
