No, that would make it appear as relating to something 'Technical', rather than to 'Techie', which is a common affectionate name for the SL-1200/1210 (along with 'Techy'), and I prefer 'Techiepedia' to 'Techypedia'

The new sub-section frees up the main section of Analogue Art somewhat, doesn't it? There are another 40-odd pages of threads to sort out, and then the task will be done. Working through the threads, I'm actually rather pleasantly surprised just how much other T/T chat there is on a forum, which is purported to be the sole domain of Techie 'fanboys'!

Ah yes, I can see that, you wouldn't want the forum to be accidentally associated with anything technical.....

However, if it were to be about technical questions, as opposed to Technics, I would say it should be Techpedia, and not Techipedia... (didn't sleep much last night)

Lol... No, that's what the DIY room is for

You know how people refer to the SL-1200/1210 as 'The Techy', or 'The Techie'? Well, "Techiepedia" is a play on the latter. "Techpedia", therefore, wouldn't work.

ahem.............there's the small matter of the spelling of '...edia'. It should be '...ædia', should it not?

I considered this when I thought it up Chris and eventually settled on the spelling used in Wikipedia as these days most of us are used to it

Those simplifications are always because the Americans can't spell.

The Americans are only borrowing our language for a while until they all start speaking Spanish. In the meantime we should respect it & all of its quirks!

I'm not at all precious about it, if you guys choose to change the spelling I am cool with that, I just wanted to appear cool and funky for once in my life...

Lyrics are the ramblings of man, sometimes inspired by The Creator, most often, not.
But music (melodies, harmonies, rhythms), that's God stuff.
    Always was. Always will be.

One of the biggest lies ever told was that only certain kinds of people should listen to certain kinds of music.
