    love hiend headphones myself Main advantage is you don,t hear the room acoustics
    only the drivers Just got a new set of phones recently
    10hz-150khz Real full range stuff

    Preamps: Heavily-modified Croft Charisma-X. LDR Stereo Coffee. Power Amps: Tube Distinctions Copper Amp fitted with Tungsol KT-150s. Quad 306.

    Cables & Sundries: Mark Grant HDX1 interconnects and digital coaxial cable, plus Mark Grant 6mm UP-LCOFC Van Damme speaker cable. MCRU 'Ultimate' mains leads. Lehmann clone headphone amp with vintage Koss PRO-4AAA headphones.

    Tube Distinctions digital noise filter. VPI HW16.5 record cleaning machine.

    Speakers: Tannoy 15MGs in Lockwood cabinets with modified crossovers. 1967 Celestion Ditton 15.

    Druids as headphones? yeah, I suppose that would work, but the bass disappears at low volumes so you'll need a loudness switch for playing that way

    I listen nearfield to my ES14s and they give a very 'direct' sound not unlike headphones, its how I have always had my speakers located even from the days of my Diamond MKIs and I can't listen to speakers from a distance now.
    I have Grado RS2s and I use them a lot late at night but they don't give the same 'physical sound' sound that speakers do and therefore are not as enjoyable.
