Well thankfully the bottom does still fit!

Mods include the big Rifa's Shane mentioned and the ladder type stepped attenuator in place of the 'shunted' Alps black. Then there's the solid silver in PTFE wiring for most of the signal carrying bits, and a smattering of Holco resistors.

I don't hold out too much hope for the stepped attenuator as it's populated with cheap n cheerful 1/4W metal film resistors, but if the values are about right and I get back the input sensitivity I'll be happy. I can use 'posh' resistors later should I feel the need.

Biggest problem I've got ATM is I've lost my CD-ROM with all the diagrams and assembly instructions etc, on it. I'm going to have to find it or get one from somewhere as all the testing procedure and what have you are on there too!

    Cheers...

Here's another bit of DIY from the Shadow household.

This is a one watt DRD amp based on the National Union 46 tube.

It is the little square amp, sitting next to the big PX25 DRD amp.

Through the 100dB efficient open baffles it kicks some serious butt and sounds lovely.

Hi Leo, on your DIY silver interconnects, where did you get that nice pin stiped outer with cable jacket?

    Thanks.
