    Ive used a chinese tube DAC as an headphone unit from my laptop every night for a couple of years now, no probs so far!

    Room is something I ran out of a long time ago . I'm currently debating what I can get rid of in order to cram some new things in. Trying to avoid ending up on one of these OCD hoarder reality tv programmes.

    I really would recommend one of these amps if you can fit one in BTW, they are truly superb.

    A few years ago I bought a Chinese EL34 Single ended amp, also called a headphone amp, never been any problem apart from the cosmetic damage (chassis slightly bent) caused by shipping.

    It's fine for headphone amp, pretty good through speakers too, if they are fairly efficient. The Tannoy HPD315's on them are not bad.

    I've had Chinese built valve amps from VTL and Arcana and had no bother during several years use. They sounded pretty good too. Not had any bother with my Chinese Tripath stuff either. Geoff.
