    Quick visit to Fopp in Bristol tonight after work...

    Picked up The Kinks - The kinks are the village green preservation society.

    I've loved this album since listening to my dad's old cassette recording of it as a kid. Genius songwriting on this. Must play dad my new copy, won't have been heard him since the hissy cassette copy bit the dust
    One of these days... I'm going to cut you into little pieces.

    Great choice Rich. The Kinks were seriously underated in the day, and especially Ray Davis. His works with the Crouch End choir is fabulous. Sure your dad would love it.

    I remember hearing an interview with Paul McCartney a few years ago where he says he wished he was half the songwriter Ray Davis is. Not a bad accolade that.
