That bike lamp produces a good light, doesn’t it? Is it a special halogen one, or something like that?

The lamp is Lumilight 1400 model from local store. It's pretty similar than some DX models made in China, so I guess its origin is somewhere that direction. It's nice lamp alright despite not any Lupine one However no need for lights today as started my bike ride right after the breakfast. Wonderful sunny +3 deg weather - did three and half hours of small roads with few icy gravel and forest roads with my cx bike. Ended the ride to the river/seaside where the families were enjoying the day, some where skiing or skating and some people icefishing, so plenty of action going on there...

Have lately sold three bikes to finance one new custom frame and fork. Hopefully that will be soon coming from the builder as I'm getting bit itchy already. Luckily had my annual skiing holiday to northern playground and spent 12 days with friends. Had weather to reach only four tops and couloirs this time but treeskiing was pretty epic at times

It might be this was the skiing season for me and next piccies are again something bike related stuff..

My new custom fatbike from Reynolds 853 tubing and matching truss fork is starting to be ready for it's maiden voyage. Still some adjustments needed for the Brooksie and the cockpit but..

That looks awesome, can you go far with that set up?, that chain ring looks no more than 36 or 38 tooth.

Been busy myself, decided to get a folder to add to my Surly and Airborne, snagged a tired Dahon Hammerhead mini velo bike,
only thing i kept was the frame and wheels, everything else went, i put double chainset and drop bars on,
had a maiden run on it and it's reaaallly nice like a brand new bike, everything smooth and no squeally brakes or creaking noises,
so happy with my handy work.

The summer has not been that good here in Finland so the temperature has been below average and have had lot of rain. However last week or so has been exceptionally good and to celebrate that did yesterday evening four hour gravel grinding ride with a theme sun, swimming and beer. Such a nice way to spend wednesday evening!

Legally it's not allowed here in Finland either. However I've been having one or more brakeless fixed bikes in my use more or less ten+ years without any issues or problems. Of course if something bad happens you might be fined or even cut from the insurance company side but so far so good..

Always great when pics are posted, the reconnaissance shots looks unlike Glentress Forest here,
damp and boggy and spooky in places, glad to see your wee fella is a chip of the old block.

Love you re-cycled bike, brakes are over rated where you are, you're more likely to kiss the arse of an Elk than a double decker bus,
giggled at your 'Elf and Safety' quip though it would be 'Elk and Safety' where you are.

Weather has been horrific here, according to the beeb, it's been the coldest and wettest summer since the 80's, (for us in the west anyway),
though southern part of the country escaped most of it and even caught some of the heatwave from Europe.

Yeah, same here with the weather. I think last summer was the hottest in 30 years or something having more than 20 hot days in a row. This year we have had three in total I think, so..
