    Does the Audio Note IO cartridge use a field coil, replacing the permanent magnet? Is that the reason why there appears to be some additional wiring on the SME 3012 Mk. I arm?

    Yes the IO Ltd is a field coil cartridge requiring a separate power supply

    Playing with Pre amps. New Aurora Sound PREDA Demo a few days ago was very nice
