8-Track Cartridge Machine Servicing

I'm putting a thoroughly retro system together for my living room, nothing too serious, but I want to start introducing the kids to proper old fashioned formats.

I have 3 8-Track cartridge machines, including a lovely Akai CR81D, which was one of the better 8-Track Cart machines manufactured, but which really needs a good service, to get it all properly aligned. Head alignment on an 8-Track is a nightmare, and adjustment is in three planes. I'm sure with experience, some test gear, and a service manual, it wouldn't be impossible to get it back to factory spec.

Do any of our Trade Members or serious hobbyists here have experience at setting up 8-Track machines? I would appreciate it if you could get in touch. I'd like to use your services!

I have an 'CR81D' & 'CR81T' boxed up somewhere that i'm not even got around to yet..Would be intresting as i don't have much time these days..
