    Something new in the rack

TRON Seven...a bit of a one-off but basically built to the TRON Seven "Reference" spec (upgraded internals including AMD resistors and high quality capacitors, silver plated copper in ptfe PTP wiring and quality Noble 100K Pot). Triple choked power supply (initial smoothing choke and an additional choke per channel in pseudo dual mono layout).

Early days for any lengthy review but initial impressions are very good indeed, although I have to sort some attenuation out between pre and power.

Looks nice Paul. I've heard good things about Tron. Never had a listen though.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

    HiJames

the rack is one of mine (ie it's an RFC rack)

The preamp does sound very good....very low noise, very good dynamics.

Get yourself up here sometime Geoff and you'd be welcome to a listen.

    Thanks

no, I don't have most of my custom work on my site. There's a general hifi furniture section though with a description of the services that I offer together with a few examples of work undertaken so people are always free to contact me if they want something particular.

I don't deal in high mass produced numbers of anything, and just about everything I do is to customer order
