Default Wishing to Change the Technics SL1210mk2 Audio Phono Lead

    Hi

I am looking to change the standard Audio Phono Lead on my Techie 1210mk2, but am at a loss as to which to chose.

Thinking of spending max of £25 inc vat.

    any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

Can you solder? You can do it to £100 standards for less than a tenner inc P&P for cable and plugs if so

    Plugs

    Cable

Solder screen to plug end and leave open at the tonearm end.

I used this on mine (along with an earth wire) and it's heaps better than standard wiring. It's relatively easy to solder to the circuit board under the tonearm.

There is a ready to go kit on eBay , using van damme cable and decent plugs for around £20 , do a search.

I love the Neutrik pro plugs, but the standard ones from this supplier (he's about the cheapest and offers excellent service) are pretty good (I'm NOT going into any supposed sonic differences between them)..

I've also used the standard screened coax Van Damme "tour grade" cable and that ain't bad either, although I've returned to the Pro Patch for tonearm to amp wiring for my own use..
