This is one of the speakers that's normally in use. The eagle eyed of you will be able to tell which drivers have been replaced.

Here are some more that are currently half way up the stairs.

The 773's are not vintage. The Linns are not quite vintage. The Goodmans and the other B&W's make it in the vintage club.

Those Sara's are putting their nasty vibes all over the others. Best get rid I say
Tear down these walls; Cut the ties that held me
Crying out at the top of my voice; Tell me now if you can hear me

I might try the Saras with a bit of valve power up 'em as an experiment. But I expect the DM2's to be way better.
I remember being quite happy with my Saras LK1/280 that I picked up cheaply when I got back into hifi.
But now I've gone and changed everything.

Some classics for ya. In some parts of the world, these are a legend in their lunch-hour.

They are both DM2a's. One an early one and the other a late one. I've got a couple of pairs of DM2's as well. One of them has a DM2a crossover board without the hf switch on it. Must be a late pair. The other pair are in a walnut (I think) finish. Veneer needs a little restoration on those. The cabs on the others are scruffy and have donated drivers.
The Goodmans are Magnum K2's if anyone is interested.

Those 350's mentioned at the bottom were considered 'mid-fi' in the range but very good apparently - designed to be used with the Quad 303. Like hen's teeth now, never seen a pair on fleabay.
