    Well regarded by those that knew and used them. The elliptical cones were difficult to form I understand..

    Great speakers those 149's. You can buy the foam grill if yours are missing Stephen.

    Hi Andre- yes, I ordered some new foams last week from Wilmslow - should be here tomorrow
    Also waiting for the pukka ones from Graham Hartle (? New stock next month)
    Just recapped the crossovers with Alcaps from Falcon

Well only 30 mins into listening (Einaudi's Nightbook) bass is tight and mellow (cello and piano are stunning) - mid range is honey smooth and treble is crisp (no hint of squeaking here ) I'm guessing they were designed with classical music in mind

    I'm liking these very much - they sound so much bigger than they are - sound similar to my Epos M22i's to be honest - much more involving than the Ruark's but lots of listening to do. I have them on my Kan II stands but with a thick block of solid wood in-between the speaker bases and the top spikes. I'll experiment over the coming days with placing them on cones, sorbothane, cork pads etc but at the moment I just want to get a feel for them.

    These are my Favorites at the moment and i very nearly sold them to a fellow forum member a while back

    DCM TF700 Timeframe speakers, 45 inch's high and 18 inch's wide but only 7 inch' deep at the base
