Default suggestions for a replacement cart

To be used on a Rega RB600/technoweight -P25 set up.
Not concerned if its MM High Output MC, or normal MC. I currently use and am happy with a Denon DL110, just wondered what the next step up would be. Max price £350.00.

As I guide I find the denon 103 too dark, and the Lyra dorian? at £500 to
tinkly at the top end. I did not enjoy the Dyna 10x5 as much as the DL110.

(please don't suggest a change of decks to anything with a 12 in it )
Sod the hi-fi, listen to the music

    Hi Colin

I would give the Dynavector DV20x a bit of thought. It is this cartridge that on my Lenco I swap between the Koetsu Black and Dv20x. Both are really enjoyable, but in different ways. Worth a consideration.

What about an Ortofon Black MM. At your budget and very good. Certainly not dark nor bright but just right IMHO.

This is a little simplistic but I would look out for a cartridge with a very fine stylus. This makes a huge difference as it goes deeper into the groove where there is less damage. This gives quite a reduction in noise. I bought a Ortofon Rohmann that had only 100 hours use. The stylus was so small I thought is was broken at first. The reduction in noise was shocking.
