    Default Full 1970s Marantz set-up. Should I or Shouldn´t I ?

I´ve got the chance of buying a full Marantz 70s system - 6270Q turntable, 2130 tuner, 5025B cassette deck, 1152Dc amp and HD770 speakers. They are all big heavy bast***s and certainly look the part. All in exquisite nick. Should I ??? How much ????

hi chris, it's hard to say about the value. frankly speaking an owner should be happy to have this taken out of his premises however ebay made some of this gear completely overestimated so everyone expects $$$$.
sooner or later you may need to repair amp, tuner and the speaker's crossovers, possibly also the cone drivers' surrounds. anything that contains electrolytics for sure. plus many pots and switchers may need cleaning despite a physically good look - especially if it hasn't been used regularly.
it really depends if you fancy it or you just want some fun. i wouldn't offer more than 200-250 euros, could be i'm wrong.
btw the amp and tuner are serious things if properly repaired.
