For the intrested in 1969 the 'Maxamp' retailed around £52 (approx £680.00 in todays money) & the 'Stereomax' around a whopping £82 (approx £1000.00 in todays money) as you can imagine they wernt cheap items & quite possibly very thin on the ground these days reflecting on that.

If you say so! - They were like modern lifestyle components with stainless steel front and a black back plate almost identical to these Goodmans but thye were from about 1971 I actually had 2 of the tuners, the dials lit up orange and green IIRC. Regret selling them as they are very rare it turned out.

    Cheers Andre.

Yeah, they are certainly thin on the ground in this condition.

If anyone wants to make me an offer please do.

Wasn't there a matching speaker the same size? I seem to remember a mate's dad having the whole lot set up on the Ladderax in his sitting room.
