Yes, yes I did a botched job in 30 minutes. Woodworking skills are not that good. The tweeter is solidly attached. I am going to keep the front cloth grilles on. The material tones down high frequencies just right.

Just listened "Jazz for Japan" and "Dave Grusin: West Side Story". The sound is way above the 120 usd cost.

Next projects will be:
1. Quad 405 mk.1 from 1975. What is the Dada Electronics 35 eur upgrade (without big caps) going to do?

2. ESS Amt1 Monitor
Fix these and see if the woofers are as bad as everybody says.

I bought a replacement inverted dome tweeter for my 816W direct from Focal UK for about £35 in delivery... I think the S series used a different model, but they shouldn't have been €90
