    Re Neptunes (Rhyl)

I had the misfortune (lets face it, pretty it ain't) to pass through Rhyl on my way to visit a sick relative in Sbutty Cllooid (thats how the locals pronounce it) Bodelwyddan (Marco the Italo/Scottish/Welshman will no doubt correct me )
I called in on Neptunes and spent a happy 20 mins spending not much. I came out with a mint copy of a Skeeter Davis LP, and an equally lovely Patti Smith pressing of 'Horses'.
I told the proprietor (didn't catch his name) that he had been very well received here and he was surprised and well pleased.
I firmly believe that independent dealers should be supported.

So at the weekend me and the GF popped into Grey & Pink Records in Chester and what a nice surprise it was. I didnt actually buy anything but the missus came away with a mint vinyl copy of Stop Making Sense by Talking Heads for a very small outlay along with a couple of other bits and bobs again all very reasonably prices and in great nick.

We had a nice chat to the very friendly owner (didnt get his name unfortunately) and left wishing we had discovered G&P back when we used to live near Chester ourselves. Still, we are planning another visit next time we are back in the area (GF's parents live locally).

Thanks guys for the heads up, just a shame didnt have time to get to the Frodsham shop though.

I read this thread last Thursday and as I was in Mold at the weekend I popped (or is that squeezed) into Vod Records and had a chat with Colin who is a thoroughly nice bloke.

Well, there was me and Colin in there and it was ok, but when his son turned up it started getting a bit cramped

I don't have a TT so unfortunately the vinyl was wasted on me (one day perhaps) but I did buy a Blues collection to listen to in the car on the way home.

What's wrong with Little Feat? Good band - although 'Down on the Farm' was a rare lapse in their usual high quality IMHO

What's wrong with Down on the Farm? The only other album that starts with Ribbit Ribbit was the Muppets.
At least Little Feat did not go on to form a government....
