    Some top-notch albums there, matey

Btw, do you play your TV through your system and/or subscribe to Sky? If so, check out some of the live classical music performances, shown on Sky Arts HD, as through a good TV and system, both the sound and vision is STUNNING

Also perhaps try some contemporary classical ....

The opening track from this album is a bit of an eye & ear opener (and a good test for audiophile 'slam' in the closing minutes, if your system is up to it!)

And for a real, percussive ear battering this is hard to beat - play it LOUD - although it's got its delicate moments, too ...

And I am very much enjoying the album currently streaming chez-Jerry ....

Another excellent intro to classical music is Disney's Fantasia 2000 DVD

Superb choice of music, superbly played.

Beethoven Stravinsky Gershwin Shostakovich Saint-Saens Respighi Elgar Dukas

    Some wonderful visual sequences, too.

    Eh? What?
    Oh.
Sorry, didn't realise the question was aimed at me, thought you were asking Mr GTV!

No. The plasma screen that you may recall is only hooked up to a DVD player. No TV or Sky.

Lol... No, my question was posed directly after your post, with Shosty and a load of other goodies listed, hence why I was referring to you

No worries, shame. You should think about getting Sky in at some point, as there are some wonderful classical performances available, which both visually and sonically (through a good system) are stunning!

For anyone who's into not just classical music, but jazz and all sorts of other stuff (e.g right now there's a classic jazz performance on from Dexter Gordon, Live in '63 and '64), and who plays their Sky box through their system and enjoys watching the artist perform whilst listening to the music, I'd thoroughly recommend Sky Arts HD on Channel 121

With an Android TV, even some of the stuff on YouTube can be great!
