I'm gone.
Searching around for a Bach B Minor Mass that hit the spot, I settled on this.
Well paced, good soloists, lovely lucid sound quality - and a performance with soul not mere technical proficiency.
The only drawback on the Spotify playback, sadly a significant one, is that the tracks have no gaps between them so each section starts immediately the previous has finished.*

I'm gone.
Another tragically sad day for France.
And entirely coincidentally, yesterday was a French composer Honegger revival day chez Jerry.
Symphonies.
Curiously overlooked, but fantastic music.
My favourite is the 3rd, but 2, 4 & 5 also rate very highly.
Overall the Naxos 3rd might be my first choice. *Stunning sq, that probably helps.

But this is very good, too ...

Stockhausen Lite?
- Hmm, OK - I'll give that a try!

Lucid and transparent textures in this recording of Mozart Piano Quartets on authentic instruments. *Nice and lively, too, where appropriate - great playing.

Just had a lovely time with the Carlos Kleiber Brahms fourth, on Blu-ray Disc in surround.
Now playing the surround SACD of West Side Story (the 'infamous' DG recording, which is my favourite)

I'm gone.
This must be the musical discovery of the month for me, maybe the year.
Robin Milford - 1903-1959.
You love Vaughan Williams music? - get your ears wrapped around this.
Some absolutely gorgeous music here.
Rather a sad life, though - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robin_Milford

William Busch - an Englishman 1901-1945.
I enjoyed the cello concerto, quite striking - I've not gotten around to the piano concerto yet.
