Those two box sets were a big part of my initiation to Purcell - there are better recordings of individual pieces for sure, but quite an achievement and certainly worth a spin.

Just dug out all my Purcell CDs with a view to starting to re-rip everything and am amazed at how much stuff I hadn't done the first time around. Was going to buy Herreweghe's Purcell CDs, but turns out I already had them, so saved already! Currently giving this a spin:

Really enjoying this Beethoven cycle on 'original instrument' fortepiano.

Will definitely give that a spin as not enough Beethoven in my life, but currently on SACD:

I like this set too the late stuff especially is a revelation, the counterpoint comes out more clearly on the fortepiano than on a big steinway.

ECM have recently succumbed to the dark side of online streaming - it's about time that Hyperion did the same!!

These Rheinberger piano trios are surprisingly wonderful - amazingly like Schubert, you could drop extensive sections of R's 3rd into Schubert's 2nd with barely a murmur!

-- Oops! I have it on CD and I have just noticed that the Spotify album has several tracks missing! But just listen to track 2 - pure Schubert!
