    Thanks Brian!

    Piano music.
Kind of a cross between Philip Glass and Arvo Part. *Kind of.
    I love it.

This is delightful. *Quite light, with some lovely vocal solos. Not a heavy, dirge-like Requiem at all.

Live concert video of Strauss' Four Last Songs.

Lucia Popp, Georg Solti, Chicago SO.*

Solti is too fast at times, but the beauty and purity of Popp's vocal is mesmerising, *Im Abendrot had me in tears.

Brilliant performance by Arwadigan Pratt of Bach's supremely wonderful Passacaglia and Fugue (probably my favourite piece of music) at the White House.
Sadly there are a couple of unseemly cutesy interpolations toward the end. The vid was done at Obama's White House so they were probably included to amuse the Prez.

Quincy Porter - I think I've mentioned him before?

Great Romantic symphonic music - big & bold, relaxed and tuneful. What's not to like?
