any advantage of the blue ones over the older black one for 1080p HD via DNLA and Virgin Media 720pHD?

Depends how long the cable run is Gary

At shorter distances there isn't much in it, but I'm running an 8M HDMI cable & the G1080 lets itself be known to be superior over the G720

I have some more ready today, not on line yet though as I need to take some new photos as the braiding is black now.

I will have 0.5 metre, 1 metre and 2 metres on-line tomorrow.

Other lengths such as 0.75 metre and 1.5 metre and long cables will be a little longer.
