Default New 10k Stereo log pot for Musical Fidelity A100 - sources?

    Hi All,

I have an antique Musical Fidelity A100 amp with a crackling volume pot. I think it uses an ALPS Blue Velvet 10K stereo log pot, but can't tell. Can anyone confirm and suggest a source for a replacement?.

Are there any other Stereo 10K log pots to consider?.

    Thanks and regards,
    Alex

Could you take a photo? If it is a blue velvet, what about:
It is 50k though or this German chap on eBay who sells the 10k version too.

Have you tried cleaning the pot you've got Alex?

I expect the pot will need more than cleaning, it lives in a hostile environment. Hopefully not as bad a the A1 which put DC across the pot.

    You can get replacements at:

The other pots on offer will sound different (probably cleaner), whether they are to you taste is another matter.
