Mm, no - just my general experience of Dullards Mullards has not been a good one.
These are a happy exception, though.

So I'll defo pack the Mullard CV4024s then for a cross compare. That's a damned good valve so be interesting if the older ones you have are better.

Let me brainwash you with Watford valves claims on the CV4024: https://www.watfordvalves.com/product_detail.asp?id=630

    They arrived today.

I have to now confess that I am not usually a big fan of Mullard valves, oft referring to them as Dullards.

But, my goodness, you never can tell.

    shock horror
    quelle surprise

The Mullard ecc81 are supa dupa in LAddy (aka LA Audio A-30) - my gosh. Focused and dynamic. Superb rez.
    Hoodathunkit? Not me.

Easily the best sound I have so far got out of the little el84 amp. Luvverly.

    Not Dullard at all.

    Thanks Paul.
thats good to hear Jerry, I bought them by mistake, didn't check which valves were in my phono stage. So I never got to try them and had no idea if they were any good. The ecc 82 and 83 I used were fantastic. I am tempted to try some 403B western electric in my headphone amp.
