Looking at a photo of the drivers, they look interesting. Are they sandwich type speakers?

I know the 15" is & the lower mid, the upper mid & tweeter are the same as used in certain Wharfedale speakers

    Adam's sounded lovely at Scalford.
I THINK the 3090s are the same size; would you like me to measure mine?
I have them either side of a 50 inch Kuro, in the lower-split level part of my living space.
Nice relaxed sound, and the bass WILL move air, but only at unsocial volumes! That's SOUND volumes....though I guess AIR volumes applicable too.
And, yes, Sandwich construction bass units.(and mid).
Luckily they seem to last (I have a pair of 15 ohm 'normal' Sandwiches too.) The surround is doped fabric on those, rubber on the 15 inchers.
The mids were an early example of computer designed speakers. There are spiral lines of holes to break up resonance.
The (huge) cross-over is bigger on the 3090s as well, i believe. Mine have been re-capped with Solens (?)
I am full of admiration for the dedication that it takes to shift those all the way to Scalford (AND turntables etc as well!)
I'd post a pic, but have no site to use. Can email them.
    Chris.
