I have bought a pair, assembled by someone else.
As an owner of various makes of LS3/5a over the years, I was expecting a very similar sound.
Which is what I got, with an enhanced bass.

I recall the Deadnought stands being recommended for LS3/5a speakers by the ( infamous ) Ken Kessler.
They were very expensive.

My friend’s pair are now sold.

Spendor built the 10Ls for Quad.

Derek Hughes designed the 10Ls and will know which drive units were used.

I bought Analogue Productions’ Beach Boys album ‘Sunflower’ and it was absolutely perfect.
Delivered in a strong cardboard sleeve.

Underrated speakers, Radfords.
I bought and repaired a pair of their ‘Bookshelf’ * models.

A special lightweight Kef B139 and a Celestion HF1300, with a complicated crossover.

My 303 was serviced and and necessary parts replaced at a very competitive price,

I bought some Dentons new for £250 a while ago.
Can’t quite remember when.
They were a bargain at that price.
I made a small profit when I sold them.

Heard them in our local record shop.
The owner has a good ear...

The Denton 80th Anniversary models were/are excellent.
Shouldn’t have sold mine on...

The original drivers were Vifa and PMC’s replacements are Volt.

Recommendations for speakers to use with a 15 watts per channel Sony TA1010.
A surprisingly good little amp.

A friend burned the voice coils on his DB-1 speakers.
PMC wanted an incredible amount of money for replacement drive units.
