Cheers, Mike.
Nice, but no optical inputs.
I’m thinking more and more that I’m better off sticking with what I have and maybe look at moving up the Clearaudio ladder.
Thanks, chaps…all the suggestions have...
Cheers, Martin, but I’m really looking for floorstanders.
I don’t mind second hand…everything in my system other than my amp (ironically) was bought used.
I’ve been looking at eBay, but prices all look a bit silly at the moment.
I am sorely tempted...
I need to go and talk to a dealer, I think.
Yeah, that's what Frank Harvey's boys said, too...they did suggest a Denon to me, but it's well out of my range. I could have just about stretched to the circa £1000 for the Audiolab, but £1500 for...
Had a chat with Frank Harvey Hi Fi today ("Hifix"), who informed that the Audiolab's "Out" connections won't act like a "Tape Out" connection, which kind of sinks the idea stone dead.
Nowt wrong...
That’s what I said, diddle I?
Yep, it makes sense that would work…it’s just that a grand is a lot to lay out on a “probably”…but it probably will, innit.
Yeah, I corrected my gaff above, Macca….the connection is marked as ‘Out’, not ‘Power’ (‘Power’ connection is next to it).
Makes sense that it would work, but I wanted to get an owner’s input...
Sorry, my error…the RCA connections are marked ‘Out’, rather than ‘Power’.
Anyone?
Not sure if amp discussions belong in this area, so please feel free to move this, moderators.
Looking at moving from my Marantz PM6004 (I think,,,can't be arsed to move stuff to see the back of...
Interesting video; a 40 year old Dual turntable - still sealed in its box - is opened up an assembled for the first time.

A huge thank you to Robin (rmcin626) for the transaction this week, where I relieved him of his Primare R32.
Fab service and a brilliant, brilliant piece of kit.
Check your Paypal notifications and your PMs in here, Robin.
PM sent.
What's your budget and what kind are you looking for? manual/air drying or vacuum?
Good God, but that's handsome.
I could stretch to the cost, but I'd be struggling to find space for it. Hope you find a suitably appreciative home for it, Andrew.
If this is still around later in the year, I might be interested. I won't have the funds until then, though.
Yes, Adrian, the Xtension 10 is the one model that turned my head.
Cheers for the advise.
I do like the Nottingham Analogue gear.
Cheers, guys.
It's nothing I'd rush into, mainly because of the quality of the Clearaudio - since I've had the 2M Bronze cart on it, it's improved yet again. I can't fault it sonically, the build...
Had a Clearaudio Emotion turntable for five years now - bought it used and have been very happy with it.
However, I'm now having my head turned by a few of Pro-Ject's offerings, especially the...
That's an awfully nice-looking bit of schmutter.
Left the Slee alone for a couple of weeks and returned to it last night for an hour's listening. It's on the same circuit as the Slee Reflex M, which means it's powered up from mid afternoon to when...
I watched a video last week of someone who had installed the CMB magnetic bearing on their Clearaudio Emotion.
In the video, they removed the belt and then set the platter spinning. They timed the...
