We do not know what type / make the bass driver is yet.
The Stentorian knob has the script, ''Cone Tweeter'' round the dial.
Even more reason to get the back off...
You might find this interesting:- https://www.voxac100.org.uk/midax.htm
You will have to remove the backs to find out any more, they are clearly very well made, but we all do 'it' differently.

Yes the Beam Echo Avantic DL7-35. Some believe it was the best Mullard 5-20 amp ever.
The original has a rounded transformer cover whereas the 'copy' had 45 degree corners on the cover and wooden...
Not a lot out there, but if you have not seen it a brief history of Beam Echo, Avantic, BAL AMi etc. here https://www.bal-ami.com/about-BAL-AMi/Beam-Echo-Amps.html
And a bit more on Jim's history...

This is a Magnavox 8802 'console' amplifier. It runs 6V6s in push pull for about 7 watts per channel.
This is a popular console for modification to a stylish and very...
Provisionally sold. STP.
I have to reduce my collection...
This is my Trio KA-2000 that is in clean and good working condition.
I've replaced the noisy 2SC458 transistors, that these suffer from, with modern quiet types...
It's a Premotec or Impex or Philips motor. Same as fitted to Rega TTs etc. Nominally 110 volts AC, but with resistors added in the 240 volt areas.
Data sheet here:...
You need to use 'Chromebook Recovery Utility'. Maybe that is what you are trying? I do not have a Chromebook, but there are a couple of 'how tos' on the web.
Numpty here, how did I miss that?
Sorry, back under my rock...
Sorry if this is so obvious it is not mentioned, but do you think NAS stands for Nottingham Audio Services? As it says on the little label.
Nothing comes up on a quick search, but it may spark...
No sorry I did not. I decided to leave it 'as is' to show some of its age...
I have a metal plate for the bottom now so will give that a coat of something close from Halfords or the motor factors....
... well it has taken a while.
I started this back in 2017 and have had several more 'false' starts to get it completed. So having cleared everything else it was time to concentrate on finishing...
I have one doing nothing.
I've had it a while, but it has had little use as I prefer my Squeezebox.
All boxed like new. £18 delivered first class signed for sound right?

Not really the same thing...
Plus the 6414 has limited anode (plate) volts of 200 max. Where you might fit a 12BH7 for a 6414, do not assume it works the other way.
Alan
I easily could have missed it, but you do not give the diameter of the caps?
Suspect they are 35/36mm diameter, in which case there are several choices that retain the screw terminal option and are...

There are at least 4 different boards, 1 cap + 1 resistor, to 2 caps and 3 resistors for the 240 volt ac Planars and Px.
Values depend on the age and board version.
That cap in the picture often...
John,
You will get a few more 'hits' if you google Sharp Golden Sound GS 5500, like: https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/sharp_gs_5500gs550.html
My guess is it was not made for the UK market, or if...
Hi Oliver,
May be too late now, but there are a couple of threads on fixing the APPJ amplifier on DiyAudio. Mostly an under rated capacitor in the power supply dies.
It is under Miniwatt N3 but is...
Thanks Alan,
I have a single MA-12, that I am restoring, but have never had a pair at the same time to try in stereo. Though years ago I repaired 2 or 3 at different times.
So looking for a partner...
Bump - anyone?
Alan
As the title,
A long shot I know, but does anyone have a Heathkit MA-12 valve amplifier needing a good home?
Condition does not matter, please let me know if you have one or parts of one....
