Happy bunny - watch back from Tissot today, about £120 for repair (also came with new face, hands, expanding strap bars).

Thanks Barry I do love it: it’s just that repair quote from local dealer where watch was bought (involved sending it back to Tissot) was over £250 - had better quote from fixmywatch but some reviews...
I had same with sale of a pair of monoblocks - when i contacted eBay they said it was standard for goods above certain value (can’t remember how much now, possibly £200+ ?) when seller had little in...
The Tissot was a previous birthday present from wife, so it has some sentimental value but i have no intention of throwing good money after bad - mechanical watches for me from now on.

My wife has given me this for my birthday (it belonged to either her grandfather or great great grandfather).
Now need to find a good watchmaker /repairer and key :)
