Yep, a really good composer Pickard - not too avant-garde but healthily 'new' and interesting. I can also recommend the 5th Symphony plus interesting fillers, also on BIS

Great disc that - I'm really into Currentzis, love him or hate him ! You should try his Shostakovich 14, to say nothing of his Rite of Spring with this band...
