Thanks Geoff, I would prefer the built in DAC but it would not be a deal breaker.
Thanks Grant, the pathos is bit rich for me, I am very impressed with the PrimaLuna EVO 100, if I can't find a way round the other issues I may go back to that

Hi Martin, I was meaning replaced in the model line up, leaving me wishing I'd waited.

Hi everyone, I need some help choosing an integrated amp. I don’t change stuff very often, and I don’t keep up with all the latest gear in between so I’m starting from scratch. I have about 2k to...
When I finally got round to doing a detailed catalogue of my music, I discovered to my surprise that about 20% of my vinyl was in fact mono. On top of that I then bought the beatles mono collection. ...
Hi guys, happy New Year, hope you all had a good Christmas. Leading up to Christmas I invested heavily in my vinyl system, I wanted to try a mono cartridge as about 20% of my discs are mono. What I...
I've given the family a list of half a dozen albums to choose from, so here's hoping. I have a fortnights break at Christmas, so I'm planning on giving the old girl a good seeing to 'my 401 that is'...
Can anyone confirm if this mat is suitable for my 401, which has a lip around the outer edge?
Cheers
Do you keep them boxed? or put them out there on the shelf. I'm undecided, I wonder if they get neglected because it's a bit of a pain to get them out
I've not listened to much by this band, and don't own any of their albums. Apart from Promised you a miracle and Glittering prize, this is not what I was expecting. 6/10 from me
This matching of carts to arms is a complete and utter mystery to me, would my Jelco handle a mono cartridge? I'm assuming thats what the heavier counterweight is for, And would the upgraded RB300 do...
About 20% of my modest record collection is mono, so I'm considering having pop at this. First question, I have a RB300 lying around, would this be a suitable arm for this project?
It starts out ok, but after 3 or 4 tracks I've had enough. I have tried different sections of the album with the same result.
5/10
Agree with this.
The only thing this did for me; was take me back to my Moody Blues collection, for which I thank it. 5/10
I consider myself a Bowie fan, having most of his earlier work. But I'm afraid I don't like this, maybe a bit too jazzy for me. 6/10
Not bad, just not my cup of tea 6 from me.
I like a bit of prog rock, but this is not for me - 5/10
Listened to this four times now, can't help feeling that time hasn't been kind to it. A lot of things from that era haven't aged well, it's usually films but this album falls into that same trap imo....
I gave it a 7 after one listening, but then spent the rest of the afternoon listening to this again and some of his other albums. Thanks for putting this forward, a solid 8 possibly a 9
Cheers Shahrin, the MP-200 is a fine cart, tracks superbly giving a very clean sound and the silent parts are like a black hole. My vinyl collection is in very good condition and plays well, but with...
1, 2014 saw me expand my classical collection, 2015 not so much. 2016 get back on track.
2, Clean and catalogue my music.

What would it have cost in 1972 to put a system together :- 401, DM2s, SME, Quad pre/power + cart. I was earning about £25 a week then.
Thanks guys, I'd assumed the Quad gear and the SME. The Sansui AU-999 looks cool, whilst the Radford kit looks:spew:
