A solid team and the home side against arguably the weakest team in the tournament? I had it as 3-0 / 4-0/ 5-0.

Is it?

Ramadan 2018 ends today.
I expect Uruguay to do well tomorrow.
Well, what a load of boring, slow, tactical pish that first half was!! Just the type of football I detest:rolleyes: Two teams that simply don't want to lose their first game, rather than go out and try to WIN....
Let's hope that they all wake up in the second half, particularly Salah and Suarez, and remember that the fans watching are paying to get some ENTERTAINMENT!!!
Marco.
Well, 0-1 to Uruguay... A better second half (just), and the game won by the least worst team! Cavani is clearly quality, and showed some great touches, especially with that superb free kick, which should've resulted in a goal. Suarez, however, was dreadful.
Egypt were simply playing for a draw, and were super-defensive. Like Saudi Arabia, they're not a great team to watch, and simply play to their strengths, which I guess is understandable, but for neutrals it makes things very boring.
The sad thing for me, when you watch teams like that is how much better it would've been had they been replaced with the likes of Wales, and Gareth Bale lighting up this World Cup instead!
Anyway, let's hope for something better in the two remaining games today, especially Portugal vs. Spain.
Marco.
no matches grabbed my thoughts yet. only gonna watch the ones i fancy
