Or is this merely the Kool Aid talking?
No idea what Kool Aid is despite visiting Canada. Yes the poor will suffer the most because the cost of vital food imports will rise. We are heavily dependant on such products. The EU are very unlikely to let us have any sort of good deal because No 1 priority for them is to keep the EU together. All this nonsense about EU countries needing us more than we need them. Imports /exports to fellow EU countries dwarfs our trade with member countries. However much anyone wants to leave the EU there will be a dire cost to our economy. That is unless our government agrees to the four freedoms. Can't see that happening.
