Indeed I have Marco. It is fed through a bucking tx to supply it with the correct 220v it was designed for....works great, and for the money; stunning. it has never blinked so far.....now I'm off to find a big dod o' wood.
Sorry Martin; thought I said....its an async1 usb to spdif convertor....it has the very newest chip in....once I persuaded my ageing laptop that I use for music to accept the driver, is is really good and light on resources too.
Thanks Grant. I was scratching my head a bit there. You probably did say earlier and I missed it.
:) ...love the avatar by the way......probably my favorite war film and main tune.
I like it because it is a sort of anti-war film but not in the conventional vein of anti-war films. They are just ordinary blokes trying to get something for themselves out of what they consider to be madness. The Germans too, in the end. I read that it was originally planned to be a more serious film but the studio changed hands and the new owners cut it to be a bit more slapstick. Eastwood wasn't happy and offered to re-cut it for free but they weren't interested.
I could bore for England on 'Kelly's Heroes', sorry about that :)
nowt boring about it...i'm a film buff as well  Clint could be a dick in those days tbh... Don Rickles was immense and made the film tbh....that and the Main theme by Mike Curb
Clint gets the worst part really, but he does it well. I think Telly Savalas gives the best performance as Big Joe. He has to play it straight and serious or the film doesn't work and he is totally convincing in it. He's so natural you don't really notice it, always the mark of a great actor.
And yes, the theme tune is a killer especially when it kicks in with just the drums to begin with right at the end. I love that bit.
Got the Carbon sb running through the Nak, then the copper pre. it is actually a lovely sounding deck. Johnny Cash sounded superb.
