Herzogenberg symphony #1.
Yum.
A long and lovely slow intro to the 1st movement, then he picks up the pace nicely.

Listening now to Martti Talvela in Schubert's Winterreise song cycle.
I'm not usually that keen on lieder, but I do love this guy's voice!

Quite a major discovery for me.
Herzogenberg - he knew Brahms and had a very similar musical voice.
These 3 large scale choral and orchestra works are fabulous ...

More off the beaten track stuff, I'm afraid. :sorry: :D

Enjoyed that one Jerry, fantastic voice.
Here's one for you - Schubert with two guitars! (and I wouldn't have found this without my new spotify subscription)

Pretty good. I think I prefer the Qobuz viewer and Tidal have been quite responsive in a flurry of emails to my complaints about metadata (can no-one really have complained before?) ... I have all three trial subsciptions running at once at the moment. Spotify seems to be pretty good for classical .. frustratingly a couple of the albums I've gone to buy having heard them online seem to be unavailable on CD.
