Blithering idiots... That's sometimes Jim, when you have to make the decision for them, and simply not turn up! No way would I take a car onto the road in some of the conditions being reported here. Ultimately I'd value my safety (or life) more than my job...!
Marco.
Moaning - who's moaning?;)
Unless you *have* to be out in this weather for some reason, I don't see what the problem is? Stay indoors, turn on the heating, put your feet up and stick some sounds on, or a good film - and chillax! :exactly:
What's not to like? It'll give some folk a chance for a change to relax and de-stress, and not rush around the place like a headless chicken.....
Marco.
It's weird, we still haven't got snow here, are we the only ones?
Still snowing heavily, but the temperatures are slowly rising — I think we’re in for a very wet weekend
Markedly milder here within the past half-hour. Still a cold wind though and everywhere covered in a sheet of ice. Kids out and about with sleds. No fun for us oldies though. :)
Same here, which I wasn't expecting. Seems to be a gradual thaw on...
Anyway, the college where my wife works is closed today, because of heavy snow drifting, so I'm enjoying some time with her I wouldn't otherwise have had - and she gets a long weekend out of it, too! Happy days
Marco.
still icy here. wind still gusty too. almost no-one driving in scheme but it is passable
Yes we are cosy and warm and watching our neighbour trying to de-ice his car. Quite where he's going though is a concern as the roads are just sheets of ice. I've never seen these sort of conditions, not even in 1963 when Weymouth was cut off for days. Freezing rain is dangerous and TBH I'll be happy when it clears.
The temperature has dropped again and the sky is darkening. Perhaps more snow? :)
