Can anyone of you electronic engineers advise me of where to buy a heat shrinking kit for my son who is starting to build effects pedals etc? Preferably with a heat gun. Or advise me on a decent quality heat gun.

Amazon is a good option, loads of kit available there. As for the gun I use a kitchen blow torch, you can get thes for about £14 on Amazon too. As for effects pedals, here’s two of mine that I designed and built.

got one of these. its very good/ adjustable heat
I have a Steinel HL 1910 E, bought it new about 4 years ago (we use Steinel's at work). It came with all the main nozzles. They are more expensive but for electronics etc a good one is indespensable.

You can just buy any heat gun from B&Q or screwfix

You can buy heat shrink sleeve in various sizes from RS Components or Maplin in fact in most electrical suppliers such as A&G, MED, City Electrics in Hartlepool

That Trotec looks alright. I only have a couple of projects to do and dont think I need spend anymore than that. I have heatshrink in various sizes down to very small diameters and various colours for a cartridge tag project.
I will be also doing some more Deltron plugs and I like the finish with some heatshrink tubing
