HiFi Year Book!
Is there a specific item you want the original price for Andrew?
Curious about the prices of all my gear mate .
What started this in my head was the fact that I'd read somewhere that my £15 Yamaha tuners ( T-700 )retail was £399 , surely not not ?? So it got me thinking that there must be a reference somewhere.
I guess you've answered that one [emoji1303][emoji1303]

It wouldn't surprise me. Even more of an eye opener is what many ancient prices are converted to modern money!
The Tandberg receiver I have on in the background right now was I believe something like £375 in 1975!
Wow !! £375 in 75 , the average weekly wage back then ?

One of THE BEST Mixing Desks you can buy is Allen & Heath.
The top ( analogue desk, of course ) was £420 in 1978.
You can buy a vastly superior Mixing Desk ( digital, of course) from A & H for approx. £1,320 in
2017.
Came with an LP12 I had briefly, sold it for more or less what the original owner had paid for it.
