I love some of those old adverts for gear. I don't know if you've seen this old Marantz advert from about 1973/4 - one of my favourites.

Sheer class! That would make a brilliant poster :)
Marco.
Ah the 1970s! Political correctness was unknown in those far flung days - any excuse to employ a scantily clad female to drape over cars and hi-fi. Just look at some of the Monty Python sketches from that time.
Not that I'm complaining; but then I'm not female.
Regards
(PS I've got a Uher tape machine that's pictured there)
Don't worry Barry i can take it
Hehehe - what are you like!
Cables most certainly make a difference (as Barry himself knows only too well), but there's no need to use anything more "specialised" than the likes of what Mark Grant supplies..... Anything more expensive than that is for dafties with more money than sense! :mental:
Anyway, did someone mention scantily clad women draped over hi-fi?
Who remembers the 1970s magazine 'Hi-fi for Pleasure', which regularly featured a cornucopia of stocking-clad maidens adorning its front covers? Oi lurved it (even though my copies usually ended up getting, erm, somewhat 'soggy') :eyebrows:
Marco (Who says: 'Get it right up ye' to political correctness!! :ner:)
I got my mug in HiFi For Pleasure, but not scantily clad I'm afraid....
The HiFi shows were really great too, very well attended, loads of freebies for dealer-staff and leaflets/booklets by the rain-forest load......
Ah, memories of my "virginity............"
