I found this old article on the BBC website about an experiment with subliminal advertising:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-30878843
which concluded that subliminal advertising's effect is minimal, at best, and very short-lived.
Yes, as patently you're not. So let's just leave it there and discuss the subject again in person, where there'll be less room for any confusion..
Marco.
Well, I guess that all depends on how often or how successfully it's been done, and over how long a period of time!
I always find the notion of remaining 'loyal' to a certain brand name or product fascinating (more common than you might think, and often occurring subconsciously), as in that respect, I'm largely a complete tart!;)
Marco.
As far as supermarket shopping goes, I tend to get mostly 'own brand' stuff, unless there's a good offer on, and for 'generic' stuff like kitchen foil, I get the most basic. We stocked up on Kenco coffee about six months ago (reduced from £6 to £4 at Sainsbury's), and we're still working our way through it!
I just buy stuff that I like. Does anyone do any differently?
I didn't realise there was a hierarchy of kitchen foil. How is basic kitchen foil different from a more expensive brand? I suppose you might get a longer roll.
