My current Sony CDP930, Revox C221 and Levinson ML390S all still work perfectly.
Previous Sony and Philips 104 players have gave up the ghost (usually caused by dry joints and overheating, due to over-compact design)
I have a rare Fergusson CD 01 which i purchased from Radio Rentals as a spotty tennager back in 1985, in the loft at the moment but worked fine last time i used it about a year ago (after a warm up period).
Interesting one, don't know if you have seen this article? https://www.hifinews.com/content/fer...d-01-cd-player
Rotel 965 , only about 25 years old I think !
Currently have a Phillips CD600 in my 2nd system (a full on 80s rig) also have a Marantz CD63 SE both work great but don't know their ages or when they 1st came out.
Wadia 6 circa 1992 full functional and never been apart (miracle with me!) , still sound decent as well
Sony CDP-65 in my workshop, still going strong! :)
I have a Sony cdp-101 which worked the last time it had a run out.
I still have and use a mission DAD5, which must be from around 1992. It was a clearance ‘bargain’ at £199 reduced from £299.
