Fulwood is one of the better areas of Preston, but one part of it (about half a square mile) has attracted ever more Muslim families, who seem intent on making that area their own. I would have no problem with having Asian neighbours - as you say, diversity is a good thing, but I don't want to be the only white family in the whole street either, this is how our national identity gets lost. Are we even allowed to say national identity without being branded 'racist'?
Badgering long-term residents, many of whom have lived there most of their lives, until they give up and move out, is the exact opposite of integration imo. Perhaps 'ghetto' is the wrong word, I'm meaning an area that is exclusively one particular race.
