I thought I'd give unipivots a go. I think it should go okay with my Shure VSTV. I'll have to get it to work first.
I was bidding on a Nitty Gritty as well, but the description has gone from having the pump removed to being virtually stripped out inside, so I'll give it a miss and save up for an RCM.
Whats the compliance of that VST-V?
I can't remember the figure, but it is quite high compliance.
Is there a particular sort of cartridge that the Hadcock will work better with?
Is this worth a punt to work with a LP12 Ittok ll?

Just won four of my favourite NOS 6SL7 tubes on ebay:

Four for £125 is not bad, especially when I've seen them for sale, as NOS, at 'premium outlets' for £60 EACH!
I'm well chuffed, and that's me done buying valves now for quite a while

nice colour bases, look nice shining in the copper
I know, dude, tell me about it - been there too often!
However, I've learned there are ways around that ;)
The GE 5691s are best sounding 6SL7s I've heard. Next best are the RCA VT229s, which I also use in the Croft. I've now acquired a nice selection of both :)
