Or Wigwam, before the recent clear out of the 'old guard', which at times was almost as toxic as Zerogain. Even pfm, 5 or 6 years ago had its problems with very arrogant and dogmatic objectivists, who used to dominate threads and simply not allow subjectivists to express any opinions that didn't 'fit' with their scientific belief system - I should know because I've battled with them all and ended up being banned for it!
You might not notice these 'characters' as much as others because you don't wind them up or are simply more tolerant of their 'excesses', but the reality is they're alive and kicking on most hi-fi forums, generally making it an unpleasant place for anyone to be who doesn't sign up to their audio 'world view'.
In all honestly, where? Can you cite one example? Perhaps that's simply how you interpret someone's passion or enthusiasm for something they like, and which works? I've only seen, certainly on here, opinions being vociferously expressed or experiences passionately related, not anyone 'asserting that their way is the one true path'...
