    agreed, but the DAC seems to have some sensitive clocks inside that (maybe) don't like long runs ... I'm only stating the manufacturers requirements...

    hmmm.. 16 feet is very long... In the DAC manual it states to use very short lengths... could that be the problem ? If you have a printer connected...

    the charging is separate from audio.. just to be sure you need a USB cable like this one. Connect it to the DAC and to the Mac USB port ...

    If it is a USB DAC it should work fine with a USB cable.. :scratch: and it should show up under the little loudspeaker in the top Finder bar. No need...
