had a look at your Pioneer streamer..
it has a "digital input" usb connector on the back?

Cant you just plug your Drobo into that, cut out the laptop?

Hi gaz, hope you are well? Quick question for you, I have just brought a pioneer n-50 network streamer and what a loverly bit of kit it is! Only problem is at the moment I am still having to use my laptop as a feed as the drobo unit I have it not network enabled it can only be connected via USB (a type). I would really like to remove my laptop from the equation can you suggest a way that I can get my drobo on the network so by n-50 can talk to it directly?
