Yup, LedZep has sent me a PM, regarding upgrading the Croft preamps, but things have been really hectic (with Xmas coming and one thing or another) and I haven't had a chance yet to reply to him.

However, it's on my 'things to do' list for today or tomorrow. I may just ask him to ring me, as it would save a lot of typing!

Anyway, mate, have a nice one. You'll need to come round for a sesh sometime in the new year and hear some proper Tannoys!

You have proved me wrong. I was chatting to LedZep (username) on the phone the other day about some WAD monoblocks, and he wanted to know my views on upgrading Croft preamps, and I said that while I had done some stuff, the thing to do was post about it on the forum asking what upgrades were worth doing, and I said Marco will be along and detail what he has done to his. But all that happened was "ask Glenn".

Not a problem, not a complaint, but I wanted to mention the reason for getting him to post.

I am thinking to buy an external PSU for my 1200 mk2 and consider as an option the PH SR7. Maybe you can give some feedback about your experience with it or give me the address of the post where you've described it (couldn't find it)?
I've installed already the jelco 750d arm. Going to buy soon Oyaide HS-CF headshell for it. Isonoe footer have replaced the stock ones.
All my system is QUAD valve 40w amps and valve preamp and quad qc24p phono. My current cart is Benz-Micro Silver (I'm looking for a new one at the moment).

I've just seen your response to my previous pm. We ave some Fritz Gyger that are £250, but you can have one for £220. Dom also does a Boron cantilever with micro ridge tip for £250 but again you can have it for £220. Dom also charges an inspection fee if nothing is wrong with the cart. However, he will check a couple for you for free if you want him to. It all depends on how far you want to take it with the cart, but it is a pause for thought. Sewing Frocks lololololol

Hi Marco, Our friend Carl in France who has is own recording studio is going to give a talk on Acoustics, because he is a recording engineer and has is own cutting lathe. So I was wondering if you could recommend 2 or 3 others to attend on the 26th because I think that this would be of great interest some serious hifi buffs? I can accommodate no more than 3, so if you have any suggestions of anyone else who would find this of interest and obviously the listening sess then that would be useful. I think Carl's talk and expertise would be of great use to some of the other members, but I am not sure who. Can you let me know asap.
