Hi 6L6, I've read many different posts around the internet on many forums about externalizing the psu for the Sl-1200. I find yours and Franks the best as far as giving me the confidence to be able to preform this task. I'm not very familiar with the electrical side but have read quite a bit and figure I can build what you and Frank have posted because they are quite well documented and detailed in your SL-1200 DC Power Supply DIY post.. The question I have is, that I'm not sure where to locate or to make is the umbilical you speak of. I understand one end is bare which gets soldered inside the tech but the other end plugs in to the microphone connector. Where is it this type of umbilical is found or the parts necessary to attach them. I am quite new to this and these connecting cords allude me some what. I appreciate it, if you get a chance the to reply to. Thanks in advance. Matt
