A while ago I ordered a transformer from Analogmetric via ebay, and as yet it hasn't turned up. However, they have responded to my queries and prompts and it seems that the first one got lost, and the second was delayed coming from the factory and is now supposed to be on it's way.

The impression I got was of an honest bunch trying to set up a world-wide online business but struggling with the logistics.

They have an interesting selection of kits and components, and now seem to have decided to adopt a different selling technique, and are trying to recruit distributors in the US and the EEC.

If anyone's interested, the details are on their forum at http://forum.analogmetric.com/viewthread.php?tid=492&highlight=

Wahey!!! Almost exactly six months after ordering, the transformer arrived today, with a note of apology and a PCB for a TDA1541-based DAC thrown in by way of compensation!

Anyone want a PCB? I think it's this one http://www.analogmetric.com/store/goods.php?id=102
